We value our real estate partners. We rely on you to be sure your client-buyer is working with a lender familiar with CHAC. We know that it is the Realtor® who keeps the borrower “on track”, explains the process, and who is the trusted adviser.
Realtors are always welcome at our first time homebuyer classes—you may wish to come with your clients or on your own to better understand how and what information is presented in the class.
We always suggest that if CHAC assistance is planned to complete the financing package as noted in the real estate contract, it is also noted as a contingency to protect the buyer.
Although we request that the Lender submit the applications for downpayment assistance on behalf of the buyers, we encourage you to visit the Lender page of the website for complete information and helpful tools for program descriptions and eligibility requirements.
If you wish to be informed of the status of your buyer’s application, we will need a signed release from the buyer to share that information with you. Click here for a sample form.
